Separation Anxiety...now??

DD will be 2 next week. She's never had any sort of separation anxiety until about 2-3wks ago. She seriously will not let me out of her sight. Sometimes even if I'm in the same room, she'll constantly whine "I need Mommy" repeatedly. Bedtime she only wants me (we used to alternate nights). We went to Buffalo over the weekend and she literally would not let me out of sight-if I left the room, she melted down.  I don't understand why this is happening now and I hate to say it, but it drives me nuts sometimes!  Is this pretty common at this age?? I thought they had this at younger ages and I thought we lucked out without having to go through this....guess I was wrong!

DD isn't into the separation anxiety.  But she is recently really whiney, which is also driving me nuts.  I figure everything is a stage.  Good and Bad.  Give it a few weeks, it will probably pass.

L goes through it here and there.  It's probably just a stage and I"m sure it will pass.  Hang in there!
