I think my OPKs are confused - vent

First let me start off by saying that is it just mee, or have there suddenly been in increase in the number of ppl using OPKs, or at least it seems as though everyone is posting questions or comments about them.  So I'm going to join the crowd.

 I think my OPKs are confused.  Today and yesterday I had positive OPKs with my FMU and then negative OPKs in the evening (around 5:30-6:30).  WTF!  I suppose i haven't stopped drinking early enough for my urine to be very concentrated.  I will say, it makes every morning like Christmas.  I am so excited to wake and test.  Tonight I'm going with the power of positive thinking - I WILL see a temp surge tomorrow darn it!

there was a post earlier today that said FMU can lead to false positive OPKs. i don't use them though because we're TTA right now so that's all i can say :-P

I've also read that FMU isn't best for OPKs....

I usually test at 11ish and 9ish....and have typically caught the beginning of my surge at night...

With you on the frustration. Last night around 9:30 PM I finally got an almost positive OPK. They've been super light up until then and I've been getting discouraged, since I had a fade-in pattern last month (the first month I used them). I expected it to be positive today...aaaaand back to very light. UGH. I am really hoping this cycle wasn't anovulatory, but my temping has been screwed up (thank you, insomnia) so I guess I might just not know. Grrrrr.
