I apologize in advance for all the PT questions, but this feels like a brand new phase of parenting.
My DD has no problem peeing in the potty. She has some accidents when she's busy but that's about it.
So..
What do you pack when you are out and about? (how many changes of clothes, undies etc?
and how do you handle playdates, parties (where do they go? we have the travel potty.)
Thanks!!!!
Re: More PT'ing ?s
I don't recall the specifics of how many.... but I *think* I would leave a set of underwear & shorts in the car and have another change in the diaper bag. We also had those little Plastic Underpants that we called "go-go pants" that we would put on C when we thought we would be in the car for awhile. But we didn't use those much at all.
For playdates and places w/ kiddo potties- we would use their kiddo potty. Do you have the Potette? Since it opens up to be a little seat we would use that on top of big potties if there weren't kid potties available.
HTH!
Sounds like she's doing great!! In the beginning, we watched the boys like hawks since they didn't tell us when they needed to go (we based it on time from last trip to the bathroom and their food/water intake). So that being said, we'd do a trip to the potty before we left and packed one full set of clothes for each of them, but kept at least 2-3 sets of undies and a few pull-ups for extreme emergencies. Almost every time we've been out I've just used whatever restroom is available. I don't have a travel potty although I'm sure I should.
ETA: Another thought I had that we did while we were at DL in January and the boys were still new to PTing...we kept them in undies with a pull-up over it. This way they'd still feel if they had an accident but we didn't have to bring more than one outfit into the parks. We only did this one day because after the first day they were all about telling us when they needed to go so they could get on their favorite rides faster
How do you get on rides faster if you have to go to the bathroom? I'm so confused but must know more!
I meant that we used it as a bargaining tool....they'd rush to the bathroom without a fight so they could get back in line. Sorry it was confusing.
