Doula?

Hi ladies,

 

thanks so much for all the valuable feedback youve given me on doctors and daycare so far.  Next question- any doula recommendations?  Im considering hiring one because my doctor uses the laborist model, and my mom lives in California, so I might want someone who has been with me the whole pregnancy around when I deliver (besides my husband, of course).  Im looking for one in the center city area, but also for one who would be supportive of my plan to use pain management during birth.  Any thoughts?

I have friend who used a doula from well born baby.  My friend lives in Ardmore (main line) and delivered at HUP.  She was happy with her experience.
