Sprained Back....

I sprained my back last night moving around too fast...and today I can barely move out of bed. I have taken tylenol but that does not seem to help, so now I just laying on my heating pad hoping for some relief...I really don't want to go sit in the ER for hours for them to tell me to do what Im already doing, so do you ladies know anything else that may help me? Btw how long is it ok to lay on this heating pad while pregnant?

Re: Sprained Back....

  • i actually did that with other injuries and i have to lay on ice that works better than the heat does.  Feel better
  • This just happened to me last Friday. My daughters were trying on clothes in the dressing room and my son(3) ran far away from me. I finally got to him. He was hiding under a table and I bent over to get him the wrong way and literally couldn't straighten back up. I was just standing there holding onto my son for dear life and crying in JC Penney. I called my daughter's cell and they came to us. I don't know how I drove home but I kept getting worse. By 5 am Saturday I was in tears, my shoulders were going one way and my hips were going the other. We headed to the ER.  My husband had to lift my feet into the van I hurt so bad.The doctor was like you are pregnant, under 12 weeks pregnant so the baby's nerves are forming, and high risk? Most of what he wanted to give me he couldn't but he did give me a shot for the pain and a few of the lowest dose of vicidan. I called my high risk doctor and he said it was fine to take. I was told ice not heat but I don't know why. It helped. It is possible you could get some relief.
