Not eating while teething?

Normal right? J will eat like 2-3 oz and then pretty much flat out refuse any more.  He purses his lips and turns his head away. He usually eats about 30 oz total and today it's down to 18 oz.  I'm worried he's not getting enough!  It's been a few days now...worth a call to the pedi?

Yep, totally normal. Like J said, if he is still going through diapers your good. Although he may get a little constipated.

Yeah I did give him some tylenol tonight, but I wasn't consistent with it during the day.  Is Motrin any better you think?  He ate his solids just fine so I didn't really put two and two together until tonight, but I guess it was the sucking that hurt him more.

Mine still doesn't eat when he has teeth coming in. I would say normal and as long as he is wetting and dirting diapers it is fine. I would call if it lasts more than 4 days OR his behavior changes (non responsive, hard to waken, lack of energy, really really cranky).

Totally normal as long as his diapers are relatively the same (may be a little less, but not by a ton). We have had better success with motrin for teeth than tylenol. Tylenol works fine for fevers/after shots, but the motrin is what does the trick for teething pain and doesn't seem to wear off as quickly as the tylenol (at least for us).

Totally normal, and Motrin is waaaaaay better.  It lasts longer and it's an anti-inflamatory so it's working on the root of the pain more effectively than Tylenol which is blocking the pain receptors in the brain.

This! Life is much better since we switched to Motrin.

OK...looks like we're off to Target this morning...I can't take the screaming anymore!

OMG...Motrin IS so much better!  Thank you guys so much!  Also, thanks for the tip on the constipation too.  I gave him a few spoonfuls of prunes with his breakfast just to be on the safe side.
