1st Trimester

No morning sickness

Hello to all of you expecting mommies- to- be :) I have a question!?!? I had my first Dr. appt super early almost 2 weeks ago and I am just now 6 1/2 weeks pregnant. I am very excited and I can not wait to have my first u/s on July 1st!!! I got blood work taken at my first appt but I have not heard anything from the dr. Is that good or bad. Also I have been reading that m/s starts around week 6 but I haven't had ANY signs of it... My only symptom is very sore breasts and feeling very tired ALL the time!!! Is this all normal ?!?!?!?!

Re: No morning sickness

  • Normal? yes, for the lucky few. I didn't have m/s at all with DS1 and it was wonderful. count your blessings.

Usually (from what I have heard) no news from drs is usually good news. No worrying now. Just sit back and enjoy this miraculous time

    Congratulations

  • Thank you so much... You just put my mid at ease :) This is my first pregnancy so I am just freaking out about everything... Also I saw on your ticker you are 6 weeks and 4 days! ME TOO is your due date Feb 7th????

Yes! Feb 7th is two of my sisters' birthday (born the same day, 2 years apart, go figure). I am excited for when we tell them that we are working on a birthday present for them. :P

  • I never had a single day of morning sickness with DD.  Lots of women don't!  You'll hear a lot more from the ones that do get stuck with it.

  • I'm not sure yet as to how far along I am (yet to confirm with MD) but... I have had zero morning sickness either --- and I am SOOOO very THANKFUL... I hope to God it continues... I will take this butt-dragging fatigue over nausea any day!  :)
  • Some women don't have any morning sickness at all. Don't fret about it. Just enjoy it while the rest of us envy you.
  • Thank you EVERYONE :) You have all been so very helpful! I am so thankful I have you all to ease my mind. I will keep you all posted on my progress and I hope you all so the same as well!!! July 1st will be my first u/s so I will let you know how things are going after that! Thanks again. So happy ;)

Oh when is the right time to tell family and friends??? This will be the first grandchild on both sides :)

Tell whenever you feel like it!! With our first two pregnancies we told everyone straight away...couldn't keep it a secret if we wanted to.  The second ended in M/C so it was hard to untell everyone. We got a few "you shouldn't have told" that hurt but mostly everyone was supportive and we needed that. For DS2 we were more cautious and waited a while. This one we are waiting partly to be cautious and partly for the fun of keeping our secret to ourselves for a while. You do what feels right to you.

  • I am 6 weeks 2 days, no m/s either. Just tired, sore breasts (at night mostly?), and light cramping at times.

This is our first and we already told our immediate family and friends. We are too excited. Hopefully everything will be smooth sailing from here.

  • CONGRATS! :) I get more and more excited everyday... I pray for smooth sailing and I hope you continue on the path of no m/s as well :) YAY for our little ones!!!
