Which is better, buying a maternity bra or buying a camisole with a "built-in" bra? I can't stand to wear my current bras any longer -- too tight, I feel like I can't breath, and I even feel sick when wearing them. I am on a tight budget right now and hoping for any advice before I go shopping this weekend. I'm thinking the tank top built-in bra sounds the best, but curious if anyone has felt similar symptoms as me above and enjoyed a maternity bra.
Re: Maternity bra or built-in bra?
You might just need a bigger band and/or cup size. Your ribcage expands when pg, so you go up in size. I'm normally a 32B, and I went up to 36D last pregnancy. I got some maternity/nursing bras in the beginning, but then when I needed to go up another size I just got regular bras in bigger sizes. It's cheaper.
A built-in bra may be ok if you don't need a lot of support, but it might feel tight too because it's not really adjustable. I had a top on like this yesterday and it was really uncomfortable.
