Anyone great & saavy with (MS) EXCEL?

I'm trying to make the mother of all MUSIC sheets, to organize the long list of songs I use for slideshows, etc. (I have a ton, most are ideas I just jot down for later, plus the soundtrack bio list)

Some of the songs can belong to more than one category, and I sure would love to be able to just pull up anything that's labeled for "newborn" or "engagement" or something.  If I could even tag some as "must use!" or favorites, even better.

I'm fine with the basics of Excel, but how to set this sheet up is really stumping me. You'll have to tell me how to do it like I'm 5, or can email me the basic sheet.

You are gonna need to do a list and a pivot.  It'll be a little painful to set up, but it's totally worth it.

2 columns, one for song title, the other for catagory.  If the song belongs to two catagories, list it twice.

Then pivot and you can choose whatever catagory you like!  If you want to get the datasheet set up and email it to me, I can do the pivot table for you.

Song title

Catagory

Favorites:  Mark yes or no

Must use:  mark yes or no

anthing else you might want to sort by?

lol. thanks. I love the memories from that day/week. So peaceful. Quiet. Fun times as a family. Ava was walking on that log for an hour while Davez hiked out to Haystack Rock, explaining to me, in DETAIL, how she does "jim-nasssss-ticks" with her arms out. "Like this, momma."
