Best purchase was from a garage sale, I got a play structure that is worth over $300 new for $25!!

We had some very successful, pre-kid garage sales when we lived in San Jose.  We actually are having our first Livermore garage sale tomorrow, I hope it is successful!  It is city wide and sponsored by the garbage company, free advertising!

Not really looking for anything at the moment, but I will be looking for desks for the kids in the near future.

What is the best purchase you made on CL or at a Garage Sale? Bought my daughters like new Italian crib, mattress, sheets, changing table, and large dresser for $300. It was a steal.

What is the best sell you have had on either if you sell things? We sold our old LCD tv (which I thought my husband had grossly overpriced & would go for under $100) for $460.

Bonus: Anything on your current list that you would love to score? or on the lookout for? A rental in WC/PH/Con. I'd love a perfectly priced 3 bdrm with a backyard.

8 place settings of my wedding china (it was a discontinued Lennox pattern) for less than HALF the retail price on CL.

What is the best purchase you made on CL or at a Garage Sale? The best purchase I've made from CL is a couch, it was brand new, the people didn't measure the new homes living room before they bought the couch, and it didn't fit.  So it was used for like 1 week in the old house before they moved.  Score for me!

The best Garage sale I've made was probably the storage cube thing with the canvas drawers for less than $5.  We also got a train table last saturday and that was a good score.  Oh I got a little tykes (or step 2 I can't remember) wagon and picnic table for $3.

What is the best sell you have had on either if you sell things?  I've sold a car so that was a good sale.

What is the best purchase you made on CL or at a Garage Sale?  These are CL things.

Our motorhome, my DH's BMW, and my Jeep, our washer and dryer  (I can only remember the big purchases) I'm sure we've made some awesome kid related purchases but I can't think of them at the moment. Oh the BOB jogging stroller. 

What is the best sell you have had on either if you sell things? 

 Sold both our ATVs and my DH's street bike (motorcycle)

What is the best purchase you made on CL or at a Garage Sale?  I bought a glider for DD #2's room on CL for $15.  It needs a little work, but it was still totally underpriced.

What is the best sell you have had on either if you sell things? I had a big garage sale to raise money for my walk last year and my neighbor came and bought every sports related item we had (we had a lot) for $150.

What is the best purchase you made on CL or at a Garage Sale? 

Best had to either be my pedestal sink with faucet for under $100 (to replace the ginormous mirrored one the previous owners had installed in our itty bitty bathroom. I could have given myself my own exam while going to the bathroom!) Or my 1998 Saturn SL2 for $3000.

What is the best sell you have had on either if you sell things? 

I sold DH's glass desk for $100 in January. that was pretty awesome.

I'm on the lookout for a rocking chair and a china cabinet.

What is the best purchase you made on CL or at a Garage Sale? I got D some trains for super cheap at a garage sale and I was happy with that, on CL mostly kids stuff like a double stroller. I got a great deal on a toddler bed with mattress at a twins sale too. I love good deals.

What is the best sell you have had on either if you sell things? I sold these cabinets I got from Target for about $10 less than what I actually purchased them for. 

Bonus: Anything on your current list that you would love to score? or on the lookout for? I am always on the lookout for stuff. I am looking for a bike for D, a bigger play structure for the backyard, Metoo highchairs, a desk...

What is the best purchase you made on CL or at a Garage Sale? Hmm, can't think of anything except that DH bought a very nice bike years ago for much cheaper than he would've gotten at a shop. And we've gotten multiple kids toys over the years that have gotten a TON of use. What is the best sell you have had on either if you sell things? We've sold mostly stuff on Ebay lately...including a vintage/original Burton snowboard that DH picked up at a tag sale when he was 8 yo (went for $$$!!) We recently sold a glider, stroller, and baby gates all on CL. Bonus: Anything on your current list that you would love to score? or on the lookout for? Nothing right now although I'd love to find some nice shelving or wall decor for the house if I ever get really into looking for stuff. Oh wait I take that back...a nice table & chairs for our kitchen since the one we have is wobbly (missing a screw) and the chairs are folding chairs.

My best score is our kitchen table and chairs which I got for FREE. It is solid oak, and "one day" I will stain it dark and paint the base black. 2nd best would be the train table for 20 including trains, and tracks.

I don't have much luck selling stuff on it.

I am on the look out for a wagon right now, and a new stroller since our last one was stollen.

Best CL score was two Fisher Price baby swings for $40. I turned around and sold them for the same price when I was done with them.
