Diapers don't smell clean...

I just used rocking green for the first time. I added 1tbsp to my FL HE washer. The diapers don't smell like poo, but they don't smell clean either.  They just smell sort of weird.  I used Barenaked babies scent. So they should smell like nothing right?

I guess I should have added more detergent.  Are the diapers okay to use before washing them again? Or should I just put them right back through the wash?

I have a FL too and use RnG.  Mine never smell like nothing anymore---probably the same thing you're describing.  I'm stripping everything and switching to Tide to see if that helps. 

I rocked-a-soak last night.....did nothing.

Isn't barenaked unscented?  That would be my guess as to why they don't smell like anything.  I think they're clean and fine to use, just the lack of scent is throwing you off.

I have always used unscented laundry detergent (Tide Free and Clear) on my clothes. This is like a different kind of wierd unscented smell.  Maybe it is the lack of chemicals. Or left over scent from some used diapers I just bought and washed.  I guess I will use them and if they smell bad right away then I will know there weren't clean enough.
