What would you bring?

Have to go to a party at my boss' house this weekend, and need to bring some sort of small gift. Several other people are bringing wine. He doesn't eat sweets. I'm thinking cut flowers (presumably for his wife, the hostess). What would you bring?

  • Potted plant in a nice pot. Crystal bowl full of fruit (cherries or strawberries).

  • Wegman's here always has beautiful potted orchids. My go to things are one of those, wine, homemade chocolate covered strawberries, fresh cut flowers or a Yankee candle for hostess gifts.

  • Eh, i'd probably still bring wine. You can never have too much wine, at least IMO. Stick out tongue

But I agree that flowers or a nice plant would be nice. Maybe even an edible arrangement if you have that near you.

  • You could get a bottle of flavor-infused olive oil.  Real Simple magazine had that idea, I thought it was a bit different.

  • If you're near a Trader Joe's, mine had really pretty potted lavender plants for a whopping $6.99. I gave one to my cousin and she loved it.
