Weekend Cocktails

Next weekend is my birthday and my FIL rented a beach cabin for us all to stay at and relax all weekend. Im excited to relax and enjoy the summer sun... I was wondering if any of you ladies had any good recipes for some Mocktails that would be good for the summertime. Im a big water drinker, but I think a nice summery treat will be perfect for my birthday weekend! Any ideas?

 Thanks ladies!

Re: Weekend Cocktails

  • Strawberry mocktail would be great! :) Blended or iced.
  • Here's one for a virgin sex on the beach..delicious!

Mix equal parts of orange juice and cranberry juice, add nectar, and pour over ice. Sink the grenadine, garnish with a pineapple wedge, and serve.

  • Virgin Pina Coladas would be amazing! And virgin daiquiris could be good too.

Found this recipe for a virgin strawberry daiquiri at allrecipes.com:

    Ingredients

    • 2 large strawberries, hulled
    • 1/4 cup white sugar
    • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
    • 3/4 cup chilled lemon-lime soda
    • 4 cubes ice

    Directions

In the container of a blender, combine the strawberries, sugar, lemon juice and lemon-lime soda. Add the ice and blend until smooth. Pour into a fancy glass to serve

  • i love gin and tonics. so tonic with lime is usually my drink of choice.

or organic ginger ale, i love the spiciness -- i know that's not a mocktail.

if you like caesars, those are pretty easy to do without alcohol.

    Aw Thank you!

  • For my SIL's baby shower we made punch with equal parts gingerale and cranberry juice.  Then we added frozen strawberries, rasberries and peaches.  It got RAVE reviews and was so easy!

  • This is my favorite non-alchoholic drink.  It makes a punch bowl full. . . but the leftovers are great and it lasts a long time!

    1 liter of ginger ale

    1 bottle of club soda

1 large container of frozen strawberries

    1 frozen lemonde

    1 frozen orange juice

    Delicious!!!

  • H has been making me "baby-tinis" (he made this up, not sure if it's an actual thing)-- half seltzer, half strawberry lemonade. It looks pink, like a cosmo. He puts it in a martini glass and everything, and I swear I even sip it like it's booze!

I want a virgin pina colada...

  • There are tons of mixes (margaritas, mojito, bloody mary, etc) at the store that you usually mix with alcohol but you can easily mix with Sprite or seltzer and they are yum
  • SInce you said you are usually a beer drinker (I am too!!!)  You could try some O-Doul's non-alchoholic beer.  The Amber flavor is really good, but the kind in the green bottle/can is good too.  Tastes like real beer :-)
