When to give hostess gifts?

My shower is July 10th and im not sure when to give the hostess gifts.

The day of my shower?

before the shower?(as in same day as the shower)

after the shower?(as in same day as the shower)

a day later?

When???

I co-hosted a shower two weeks ago and the mom-to-be gave us the gifts at the beginning of the shower before anyone arrived.

I usually do it right after, when people are leaving and everyone is cleaning up.

I think you can do before or after the shower (as in the same day).

Another cute idea - once I hosted a bridal shower and the guest of honor sent flowers to my office the following Monday as a thank you.

I did mine at the end of the shower. After people started kind of leaving and packing up that way no one felt left out or awkward.

At my bridal shower, before I opened my gifts, I stood up and thanked the 2 hosts for throwing such a lovely shower and gave them their gifts, but they didn't open them until they got home.
