No idea. I watched all morning (or had it on while I cleaned) and I didn't see them actually say anything. I figured it was cut out when they got the news about Weiner.

I'm not trying to spark a debate but I really don't get why people care how many kids they have. But I cannot believe someone thinks Child Services should be called.(comments from the article)
I am of a different opinion. I think it's GREAT that they can have that many children. In my community MANY families do not believe in birth control and it is not unusual for people to have 8-15 kids. Amish, Mennonite, and Catholic families have an amazing amount of children. People have raised large families for a very long time. What's the big deal?

I guess the difference is those families are not on TV, magazines, etc. I don't admire people for being fertile - and given what happened with the last pregnancy and the fact that they are willingly not preventing, I would call them irresponsible with that fertility.
They put themselves in the public eye. Therefore, they opened themselves to the reactions and feelings of others. My personal reaction and feeling is not positive, and I wish they would go away.

All of this.
And I absolutely judge them for bringing a camera crew into the NICU to film their preemie.

You tell me, what is the big deal? Why do they need to come onto the Today Show to do an announcement every time they add another member to their family? It's freakin ridiculous. I don't care if people have huge families (as long as they are responsible about it).

This completely and what Kdodge said. She was told how dangerous it would be to keep having kids and is out there saying I'm ready for more.

Because they are huge AWs about it for one. And while people did used to have large families, this has gone away over the last century due to lower infant/child mortality rates and urbanization. Most people don't need 12 kids on a farm even due to mechanization as well. It's not necessary and often times reckless. The fact that she switched doctors because her old one told her not to have any more because it could kill her is a prime example of that.
ITA with Kdodge. Add in the fact that their religion is scary dominionist, mysogynistic, and women are essentially property to them and I have a huge problem with all of it.

All of what kdodge said.
Also, I have some serious questions about how you could possibly care for that many children, specifically emotionally. Obviously the kids are all clothed and fed, but can you really tend to the emotional care of that many people? From what I understand, all of the littlest kids have an older kid "buddy" that essentially functions as a mom or dad. I don't really see how that is fair to the older kids, not that you shouldn't help care for your siblings but you shouldn't be expected to be a fill in parent IMO.

Get out of my head I came back to say exactly this. It drives me BSC when older kids are expected to be parents to their younger siblings.

Good lord. He was born at home yesterday and Josh and Anna are already doing nationally televised interviews?
Something about that doesn't sit well with me. It seems like Anna doesn't have much say in her life at all.
Especially this one: what these people fail to grasp is a v.a.g.i.n.a. is not a clown car.
I have used that line in reference to the Duggars, and I stand by it.
Only I think I said "uterus." Same dif.
