Opinions (stems from convo with DH)

First off I do not feel sick during the morning or afternoon only at night.  I refer to this as "morning sickness" even though I am nauseous, but haven't thrown up.  Do you consider nausea as morning sickness or does it only count if you throw up?

  • I've never gotten sick.
  • Counts in my book! I have only thrown up twice but i've gone a full day feeling nauseated. Morning, noon and night.

  • I've also mostly felt ill in the evenings too and it's like a weird combo of heartburn and nausea.  I assume it's the same as m/s.  I've only been sick one morning and it was the same feeling I get in the evenings before I threw up.  I count myself lucky that I'm at 10 weeks and only have been sick for one morning.

  • That counts. I don't always trow up but I feel nautious 24/7/ I told DH all I wanna do is sleep cause when I'm sleeping I don't feel sick. Unfortunately with a job and a 2 y/o, that doesn't get to happen.

     This.

People say they are sick when they have colds, doesn't mean they're throwing up.

  • Ya I think it counts. I feel nausea throughout the day, it does tend to be at it's worse in the morning and early afternoon. Even when I don't throw up I constantly just have the sick to my stomach feeling.

  • With my 2nd I had nausea throughout the day.  I only threw up twice I think and that was while changing the diaper of my other child lol!  I used to get worse at night.  I distinctly remember how it started.  I was cooking dinner, took out the chicken to marinate, got a massive wave of nausea and was out for the next few weeks!  It seemed to bother me most at dinner time though.  It was the smell of food cooking, no matter what it was.

  • My "morning sickness" is really afternoon and evening nausea. You don;t have to throw up for it to be real.

  • I get a "car sick" feeling throughout the day, but at night is usually when it hits hard.... I dont get sick really, more like wake up with heartburn/stomach ache pain that sometimes makes me want to throw up. It happens usually around 4/5am and goes away by 6! So weird.

  • Thanks ladies!  I now feel okay calling this "morning sickness" even though I have it at night and I don't throw up. Wink I felt dramatic almost like an impostor before, lol.
