Hi ladies!!
We had a great weekend! Stayed pretty well on my points and am doing well getting a handle on this. I weigh in today and I'm very nervous becauce I only got ONE workout in this week (it was my anniversary so I skipped one of my normal Jazzer classes). For me, exercise is key so I may have a gian this week. It's ok, it hasn't happened yet so I'm prepared for it. I go at 3:30, I'll update after.
Turns out my "slow" summer schedule is busier than I thought it'd be! Oh well. I need to figure out how to make time for exercise without taking more time away from my family. It seems a nearly impossible question that I keep asking myself over and over and over again. *sigh*
How about you share your favorite unusual salad toppings today?!?!
Mine is diced green chiles!! Spices up your salad, adds a little moisture (I like my food WET, lol) and costs you practically NO calories!!
Re: BOMB check in!
Hahaha! Great minds think alike!
Our anniversary was also this week, but I managed to do well. I'm hoping to see a loss for my first weigh-in on Wednesday. **fingers crossed**
I love to use salsa as my salad dressing. Like you, spices it up, adds moisture for practically no calories.
Workout wise I have been doing awesome. I ran/walked 13 miles in the last week!
food wise, not so great. booo

I've been eating like an overweight Trucker. I am hoping to hit the gym every nite this week!
favorite salad topping? Dried Cranberries.
I've been indulging in waaay too much alcohol for the past week or so. But DH is leaving for his deployment very soon, and I've kind of been saying "screw it" thinking I'm going to enjoy our last few nights together while they last and then get better about it afterwards. I'm still within my usual points, just replacing actual nutrition with alcohol. Good trade off, no? :P
My favorite salad topping recently is turkey bacon. I'm like 95% vegetarian these days, but for some reason adding 3 slices of turkey bacon (for 2 ww points) to my daily spinach salad for lunch has been the most amazing thing in the world for the past 3 or 4 days. Yum!
OH green chilis! Love it!
It was our anniversary too (11 yrs!)...Hi-fives to all the anni's last week!!
I've been making an odd but delicious salad lately:
1-cucumber-peeled/chopped
3-celery ribs-chopped
1 can of tuna (sometimes I leave it out)
sprinkle poppy seeds/salt/pepper
Dressing is 2:1 ratio of rice vinegar & olive oil
SO GOOD and super low in calories!
I have added cherries and papaya to my salad!
I am headed to the Y to do my first workout from New Rules of Lifting for Women. Super excited!!
I just found out they offer a swim class on T & Th mornings so I am going to try that tomorrow!!
Had a good weekend. I babysat my niece and made a point of bringing my own lunch and dinner (my sister does not cook and her house is full of processed foods).
