First appointment tomorrow...

Good Morning Ladies!

So, tomorrow morning is my first Dr. appointment. I will only be 5 weeks 5 days so I'm curious what my appointment will be like. I called to ask if they would do an u/s and the lady said they typically don't do them on a first visit. Though the lady didn't ask a single question when I made my appointment. To them I could be 3 weeks or 10 weeks. Anyway, do you think it be a physical exam? blood work? or just a sit-down to chat about it?  This is my first pregnancy so I'm curious.

So exciting, my first appointment is July 11th, which feels like forever away!!

it varies by doctor.  for my first appt (this thursday -- i'll be about 5w4d) they'll do a vaginal u/s and will also go over my history.  at my 8 wk appt they do bloodwork, another u/s etc.

i'd call your OB to confirm!

My first appointment is tomorrow as well (on my first child's birthday! ).  From what I've heard from other preggos at work the first appt is with the nurse and it's just bloodwork, paperwork and chat about genetic history.  I"m still excited.  My first appt with the MD is on June 29 and I think they do an ultrasound then to verify the due date.  That will be really fun!

I also have my first appointment tomorrow morning, at 9 yay!!
However, I'll only be 4 weeks 5 days, so I am not expecting much more than a physical, questions and some bloodwork.
I'm going to push to get an u/s in my 6th or 7th week though, since I was on Clomid and I have an issue with my left fallopian tube, it's really stretched because I had a gartner cyst removed a couple years ago. So I want to make sure it's not ectopic, although I would think I would feel some pain by now.

At my appointment on the 27th, I will be 8 weeks. What they've told me is that there will be blood work, an exam, pap smear and a u/s that he records. So if I want a copy to bring a VHS tape.
