I'm hoping for an unmedicated VBAC with baby #2, and am definitely healed from my c-section (emotionally) but I seriously wish I could go back in time and do what you ladies are doing--planning for and believing in natural childbirth. I didn't even consider unmedicated birth an option for me, since I have a very low pain tolerance. Boy was I ignorant! Anyway I really respect you ladies for swimming against the stream and fighting for a natural birth. I hope you all have the L&D you're hoping for!

Re: I wish I could start over.
Just to keep you feeling positive about a VBAC - one of the ladies from my Bradley class had a successful, unmedicated VBAC and delivered her LO early this morning. She switched care providers and hospitals for this pregnancy in order to have a medical team that would support her decision. You can do it!
Best wishes to you! I think you have a great mindset, and this time around a truly supportive team is going to be most important.
Are you planning hospital, birth center, or home if you don't mind me asking?
I wished I could have a do-over after my c/s too. I had to make peace with the fact that I couldn't, and realize that I did the best I could in the situation. I can't fault myself for not having the benefit of hindsight going into my first pregnancy.
Best wishes for your VBAC!
Thanks so much ladies!
BostonGayGal--you've commented on my VBAC ramblings before, thank you for your kindness
I will be birthing at a hospital b/c there are NO birthing centers in Illinois yet--not til Sept 2012, too late for my January baby
HOWEVER I have a doula and will labor at home for as long as possible. I would have a home birth in a second but honestly, although I'm not super nervous about rupture, its still a possibility, so I can't bring myself to do that.
Thanks again everyone and GL!
