1st Trimester

We decided we just aren't going to tell our families.

Last night we were talking about it and we decided that we aren't going to tell our families this time.  We are going to wait until someone asks and then I am going to act all offended because I will think they are calling me fat.

However, our other idea is to just slide it into regular conversation like, "yea we were thinking that our trip to CO won't be that hard this time while I am pregnant like it was when I was pregnant with DD"

I just kinda want to see how everyone will react with the subtleness of news as opposed to making a big deal like we did with my DD.  It might be fun, or we might really piss some people off.  either way, I will get a kick out it  ;)

  • Love it!  We did the "offended" act the first time around with some friends. I was underweight before my DD but with her, I put on weight FAST!  My BF would keep making jokes about "desk job" and snacking a lot with one of our friends, and I just kept acting like I hadn't gained that much.  OUr friend was appalled at my BF.  Until he got the shower invite.  We were in tears laughing!  His RSVP voicemail was "You two are a$$holes.  I'll be at the shower douchebags."  LMAO!  So I say go for it!!!

  • My aunt did something similar.  She didn't tell anyone she was having twins until the day they were born, they are 6 months old now.. We are a very, very close family and this offended and hurt us as a family.  We all felt slighted..
