I've been sitting here and thinking about CD-friendly clothing, and how I need to buy some for the fall because daycare may not be excited about DS running around in CDs and babylegs. I don't know why it took me so long to put two and two together, but I have some interlock fabric and a sewing machine upstairs. Does anyone know of a pattern for CD-friendly pants that I can make? It would free up money for more CDs...
Re: semi-CDR - pants pattern?

I've been meaning to try "regular" pants using Katrina's longies pattern. I don't know that it would work well with woven fabrics (maybe it would work OK with some elastic in the waist?), but it should work with stretchy fabrics like interlock.
I also have lots of regular patterns for pants that are plenty big enough to accommodate a cloth diaper. I recently sewed pants from McCall's 5963, and they came out huuuuuuuuuuuuuge. Look at the bottom of this post: https://rookiesewer.blogspot.com/2011/05/camouflage.html. There are pictures of DS wearing them over his super-bulky overnight diaper setup (a not very trim fitted under a thick wool soaker). It fits, no problem.
And if you're sewing your own, if you needed to size up to get enough room in the butt, you could also shorten the inseam to make it work for a smaller baby.
