the hysteroscopy was this afternoon. short of having a normal uterus, the results were as good as they could have been.
the doctor had been pretty sure that i had placenta accreta, but when he went in there he actually didn't find evidence of that. the only problem was that the placenta previa had left some scarring (presumably due to the massive bleeding that i had), which he cleaned up. he thinks that the area where the scarring is will probably heal well enough that an embryo could implant there someday, and the other wall of the ute is okay. now i have a balloon in my ute for a week to prevent scarring from re-forming (hurts like fvck!) and i'm taking estrogen as well to promote healing. then after i shed this lining, we'll do two weeks on estrogen to test whether my lining can still thicken properly. and then we'll know whether we have a chance of getting pg again! so no final answers today, but things are looking much better than they did prior to the hysteroscopy, when the doctor thought i had placenta accreta and referred to part of the ute as "destroyed".
now i'm sitting in a drugged daze feeling sorry for myself that my ute hurts.
most hilarious thing--the discharge instructions said "no shopping". apparently they've had trouble with women spending too much money when they shop before the anesthesia totally wears off. LMAO!
Re: hysteroscopy went well today
Because we're fancy like that.
