I just found that a friend of mine's 14 year old daughter is pregnant!!!! I am still shaking my head! She has been more than a handful lately and even ran away around Easter, but this is too much. My friend has convinced her to put the baby up for adoption after she gives birth, so I'm hoping that she follows through because she is in no way shape or form ready or able to raise a child. It just makes me sad that so many women who want a child so badly and could be terrific parents have trouble getting pregnant & so many kids are doing it so easily. So sad!

Amen to that!
My neice is 14 and I'm terrified for her. She's a gorgeous girl and looks a lot older than she is. Grown men oogle her on the street. She's already been caught alone in the house with an older boy, and her dad went nuts.
She came to visit us for a weekend by herself and I was struck by what a baby she still is. She's a sweet, goofy kid who just happens to look like a model. Thankfully, she's smart and has common sense. I hope it sees her through.
There's no way a 14yo should have a child. It's tragic for all involved. I hope they find a great adoptive family.
Yah it sucks! It happens more than you think......I work for Medi-cal here in CA. I am learning not to be shocked every time I see a claim like that. Ugh!
Ugh, really? That poor girl. I hope she is able to get some help to get her through this emotionally. It will be so hard for her both now and for the rest of her life.
I can't even fathom being pregnant at 14 - I didn't even have my period yet!!
I hope that she makes the right decisions for the baby, and I am glad she was able to tell her Mom - kids trying to hide it can be tragic!
And I do agree fertility is backwards! So fertile so young, and so not when you are ready!
