Cloth trainer/pull up rec

We were still doing pull-ups overnight for Holly. She does great all day, and during naps, and has for months, but was still wetting her pull-up about once a week overnight. However, she started getting a rash from the pull-ups--Huggies were a no go pretty much from the start because they irritated the skin around her waist and legs. Pampers worked great at first, but then started giving her diaper rash.

So I bought a few of these from Etsy. Not only are the cute, but they seem to be working great. No more rash, and they're very soft, like undies. I will say that in the two weeks we've used them, she hasn't had an all out accident overnight, so I guess I can't speak for the absorbancy of a full pee yet. But they're supposed to hold one accident (the reviews seem to support this), keeping sheets and clothes dry. She has had a couple of "dribble" accidents, and there's been no leakage, which is great. I think she can feel that she's started to pee in them, and will then stop.

Just thought I'd share!

  • Cute! Glad they seem to be working out so far!

  • Thanks for sharing!  I really like those and it is great because they really are more like underwear than a pull up, and you get to re-use them!  I think we need some now since DH is scared of going anywhere without a diaper when we start fully training.

  • Thanks for sharing those!  I am thinking of getting some for Liam.  He is like Holly, mostly dry overnight, but wetting his pullup maybe once a week.  The pullups are okay, but the butt on them is so narrow, it looks like he has a constant wedgie LOL!  And his last few nighttime pees have resulted in a wet bed, regardless of the pullup.  I might have to request some 4t-5t for my big boy though LOL!

Same here!  I considered getting cloth trainers when Eli was first PT, but figured they would be a waste of money.  Now, a year later, we're still buying Pull Ups!  He still wets at night once or twice a week too, only his accidents are full blown pees.  So I've been wondering how absorbent the cloth trainers really are.

  • Yeah, I'll let you know how they hold up to a full pee. I hope they do well--I really like them and am tired of buying pull-ups!
