Follow up to teething necklace post

What exactly are they?  I did a quick google search, but perhaps you all can explain more.  Do they really work?  How come I find such varying prices from $12-$50??  TIA

not sure the varying prices. ?I got mine from forfinn.com (I believe a lot of us did) ?They are small amber necklaces for baby to wear to help the pain of teething. ?I believe it works. ?Others may think its superstition ;o)

I got a necklace for DS. he has worn it before he got his vaccinations, and he had no ill effects from the vax. we haven't used it for teething yet. ?I have a bracelet that i wear. I have an arthritis-type condition in my hand and foot. ?since wearing it i have definitely noticed an improvement in my pain.?

my disclaimer that i give to my skeptical family is: if my pain is down, who cares if it's from the amber or just me thinking it's from the amber....my pain is decreased. ?

We got ours at forfinn.com. I think it works. DD has only had the crying, miserable teething spells when I've forgotten to put on her necklace in the morning. My husband thinks it's the placebo effect on me and says "if you think it works and that helps you handle the teething better, then it was worth the $10."

I have one I'm wearing while waiting for a wisdom tooth to come in (that's right, I'm teething in my late twenties).  It doesn't always work, but when it does, I notice a difference.  It's from forfinn, and was $15, and I've gotten more compliments on it as a piece of jewelry than many of my earrings get.

DD wasn't wearing her necklace and has been waking up every 2 hours, she is getting her canine and molars at the same time. Last night was the first time she wore it in a few weeks and she slept 5 hours straight, which was heaven to me.

Ours came from For Finn as well and yes, I think they work.  We forgot to put DD's on the other day and she was a whiny mess.  She isn't normally a fussy teether (with necklace) and she's been wearing the necklace since five months, maybe?

I also have a bracelet and there is a noticeable difference in my wonky elbow when I wear it.

I'm sure the varying prices are just different peoples ideas of how much their stuff is worth. I sure wouldn't pay $50 for one. I ordered from forfinn and their quality is great, fast shipping, and reasonable prices. I don't personally notice a huge difference when DD wears hers, but everyone comments on how cute it is

We have one of the ones from forfinn. I haven't been putting it on Ethan 100% (we've only had it for a week or so) so I can't elaborate on how well it works.
