Pregnant after a Loss

Washing baby blankets and clothes

Ok ladies DH and I are going to finally start putting together the nursery today.  So I want to wash some of the bedding.  I know some people say Dreft is a waste to wash baby clothes in.  SO this is the laundry detergent I have on hand....is it ok?

Also I know I can't use this because of the perfume, but can I use the basic Clorox 2? Or just skip it all together?  Also nay on the dryer sheets?

Re: Washing baby blankets and clothes

  • I bought Tide: Free & Gentle as well, and from what I've read that will work fine. Not sure on your other questions though!

  • Any Free & Clear is fine (Tide, like you have, or All, which is cheaper).

NO fabric softener or dryer sheets. They can reduce flame retardancy. Is retardancy a word?

My life has a superb cast but I can't figure out the plot.
  • Anything dye free and gentle is good. Like Tide, Dreft, Ivory and Purex Baby. They are no harsh dyes and chemicals. With DD I've used everything except Tide. And it's worked great. And later on for stains oxy clean works great.

  • We used Dreft just because we had it on hand, but I think those would be safe. As long as they are dye/perfume free. We use Green Works detergent on our clothes, and I would use that on baby's things as well. We washed all of our things last weekend. Have fun!!!
