How long did it take until you stopped spotting after getting it?

I got mine 3 weeks ago this Friday, and I'm still spotting on and off. My doc said to expect 3-4 weeks, so I know it could still be a while, but after nearly 6 weeks of PP bleeding before that, I'm really over it!

And - once you stopped spotting after insertion, did you still spot on and off?

I spotted for about a week and then didn't get my period for the entire 18 months that I had it.  It was heaven!  I got PG the first month after I had it removed so I haven't had my period since then either.  In fact I haven't had my period in almost 3 years since I had the IUD put in before AF came back after having DD.
