You still around?

Whatcha doin?

Re: r9

  • Ya I'm here. MH downloaded a new browser for my BB so I can now reply since the format change. I am trying to stay warm! Our heating ducts are in hooked (rental) and MH needs to hook them up. So, I moved Lucas pnp in my room and have a space heater going. How cool are we? I actually kind of like it since I don't have to get out of bed to check on him! Co-sleeping without the bed hogging! What about you? Just you and L? What is L going to be for Halloween?

  • Just me & L.  He's in bed, I'm watching tv / nesting.  Exciting stuff...LOL. It's relaxing, I'll give it that much.

That IS nice!  I always feel better when I can actually *see* L sleep.  We co-slept for the first 5 months & I loved being able to reach over & feel him breathing whenever I wanted to.  Now, though...well...he'd kick me all night long, lol.

L is going to be a train conductor.  His obsession with choo choo's may be short lived & I figure we have to make the most of it.

  • We co slept for about the firsy seven months or so. It was just so much easier when L was so sick when he was little. Then, after he had surgery, it out my mind at ease for him to be with us. Now, I don't get any room at all if he sleeps with me! He kicks, and punches, and insists on his finger being either up my nose or in my ear!

  • LOL @ the finger in the nose.  Yeah, that could interfere with a good night's sleep.

What surgery did L have?  How did I miss this?

Our L was the same thing,...bad reflux, had his tubes in & adenoids out, much healthier since.  It was at 5 months that his reflux meds actually started making a difference and we felt comfortable having him away from us.

  • He had pyloric stenosis. At 8 weeks he weighed one more ounce than when he was born. It was the most horrible time in my life dealing with it. After the surgery he had horrible damage to his esphagus from throwing up so much so he continued to throw up in addition to having acid reflux. My L has tubes too. Just got them about three weeks before our wedding. I only started nesting about three months before our wedding.

  • Aww...poor baby!  So the surgery helped?  He's doing better now?  It's so sad when they're that little and are in that much pain.  We were at such a loss for so long.  It was heartbreaking.

  • I will tell you more about it tomorrow! I am going to bed. My kidneys hurt (I am falling apart.). And it is cold in here! Ttyt. Sweet dreams for both you and L!
