Help! Infant care near the movie studios.
Hi mommies to be! I am freaking out trying to find quality infant care (child care center or in home) that is open until 6:30 or 7 PM near the studios in the valley (Universal, Disney, WB). I am on the waiting list for our wonderful on-lot childcare center, but it's unlikely a spot will be open when I come back to work in late January 2012. Does anyone have any recommendations? I work 9-whenever now and after baby I know I'll need to walk out at 6, but I need a little wiggle room as I know it will be more like 6:30. Any advice or recommendations?

The BHC Development Center on Verdugo and Buena Vista is one of the few that is open until 6:30pm. They are excellent but have a long wait list. I would call now.
You could always hire a nanny for after-hours care to pick up at 5:30 or 6pm and meet you at home, help with bathtime and dinner, etc.
