Pregnant after a Loss

Recommend your tank/cami

Where are you getting your breastfeeding tanks/camis from?  I went to Wal-Mart today to pick some up, but I'm not impressed.  I'm not a size 2, but even their XXL is a bit snug on the girls already; I can only imagine how comfortable that will be when I'm breastfeeding!  I checked Target, too, but didn't see any specifically for BF.

Where did you get yours from?  Is there a particular brand/style you'd recommend?

Thanks!

Re: Recommend your tank/cami

  • I didn't use any. Lol, not that that helps you. I did find a nursing bra at Wal-mart- it looked like a gray sports bra and I alternated that with regular sports bras with tanks on top. When I needed to nurse my DS, I would pull the tank down and lift the bra flap up.

Good luck though- maybe try a maternity store?

  • Honestly I just bought two regular tanks in a larger size and see how they work for BF.  I was not impressed by the BF tanks Target offered.  They seemed too thin and flimsy.

  • Lurking from PAL-I like the Target ones.  They were hard to find but an XL is working for my size H's. GL!

  • I haven't bought any nursing tanks yet, I'm still using the Aeropostale M or L depending on the day for now.  But my friends swear by the Gap nursing cami's.  More than 3 of them all claim they are worth the extra amount of money.  I'm planning on trying a few of them.

  • Target has a better selection online.  I am already an XXL before being KU, so I'm nervous I wont find any tank that fits me at all.  And they are not cheap.

  • I bought a couple of nursing tops from oldnavy.com (they all run big just like the maternity clothes, I ordered a size down.) and a couple nursing bras from target that I love.

  • I have no idea how well they'll work, but Motherhood Maternity had some nursing tanks that were reasonably priced last time I was in.  There were nursing shirts, too.

  • the glamourmom nursing tanks are really nice. I could live in them, they are expensive but I plan on seeing if I can find some second hand on ebay and other places, totally worth having.

  • Both of the brands I'm going to recommend are pricy, but IMO soooooo worth the investment.  I wore a nursing tank virtually daily for 9 months.  Bravado is the gold standard- I'd buy every color.  Glamourmom is also very nice- I'd recommend getting the longer tank they offer.
