unexpected appt today

I have been having some pains in my lower right side at night the past few nights.  I notice it most when laying on my right side.  I spend nights awake and worried but feel better in the day.  I finally decided to call this morning about it, and the Dr. had me come right in to make sure it wasn't ectopic.  We think it's a cyst on my right ovary although we couldn't see my ovaries well in the ultrasound.  There was a gestational sac in my uterus and possibly the beginnings of a fetal pole.  The picture was horrible and hard to see much.  There was no heartbeat, but the Dr. thinks I just ovulated late (which I knew but still thought it was far enough for a bit more).  So... I go back next Wed. for another ultrasound with the u/s tech as well as another appt with my OB.  If anyone has T&P to spare, please join me in praying for a heartbeat next week!  I'm so nervous.  If you read all this, you deserve cookies!  Thanks so much!

Thank you so much for the support, ladies!  I'm so thankful for this board!  This is a safe place where I don't have to feel like a crazy person, and I really need that these days.

Great that it is not ectopic! I know how stressful worrying about that can be. FX that you get to see a gorgeous HB when you go in next week!

Thanks.  I need that reassurance!  I actually think based on when I Oed that I'm more like 5 weeks 4 days.  I just went with LMP until the Dr. gives me an EDD.
