For a girl?!? A friend texted me yesterday and said she met a girl Parker, and that she loved that name for a girl...WDYT?? I personally think that is not a unisex name, and that its very masculine.

I like it better for a girl. Even though it's more commonly a boy's name, I definitely wouldn't consider it a masculine one. I think it's a little too trendy for a boy but cute for a girl. I feel the same way about the name Spencer. I have a friend decided to name her child Spencer whether it was a boy or a girl. Ended up being a girl and I love it. I'm not a fan of Spencer for a boy (makes me think of that idiot Spencer Pratt).

I clicked on this post just to see if it was for a girl or a boy. I have heard a lot of people lately using it for both. I think it is cute for a girl, but I don't think I would ever use it.
I've only ever seen it on a girl. My BFF from HS named her daughter that, but with the last name similar to that of a famous car dealer (think: Chevy). I always thought that was kind of odd, but I love her first name.

It's my maiden name and that's what I think of it as: a last name.
I don't get people using it (esp. for girls) unless it's a family name. Also, I was always afraid to be called "Porker" growing up.
I like Parker for a boy. Hate it for a girl.
I went to school with and dated a Parker and he did get called "Porker" so I can only imagine that it wouldn't go over well for a girl.
