Stitches! Possible TMI

So I'm 4 weeks post delivery and I am itching like crazy down there.  I went in and they put me on a bacterial infection med for 5 days and I don't feel better. There was still alot of blood so they really couldn't tell. I'm starting to think its my stiches.  Does anyone else have itchy stitches?

I thought about this, but it's not been too bad so I haven't called. What did they do to treat it? Could you use otc stuff or did they give you a Rx?

I had terrible itching, so bad I wanted to cry. Turns out it was the Always pads causing it even though I didn't have that problem with ds1. Not sure if that's the kind of itching you have but thought I'd throw out my experience just in case!

I'm having the same problem and I'm only 9 days post partum.  It just started itching down there and it is driving me nuts.  Plus I look strange when I'm walking because that is when it seems to itch the most.  I was worried that I had a yeast infection starting too so I called my doctor today.  They let me come in to have it quickly checked out and my doc said she thinks its just the normal healing of my stitches and the fact that I'm having to wear a pad all the time.  My doctor suggested just sitting in a bath of plain water a few times a day or using witch hazel or tucks pads to help relieve the itching.
