Pregnant after a Loss

Rec your pregnancy pillows!

Okay ladies, I can't be the only one with a constant backache. I can't get comfortable at night and I'm waking up frequently because of it. Anyone have a good pregnancy pillow recommendation? What do you have, where did you get it, how far along were you when you first started using it? I'm only 17 weeks and I feel like I shouldn't be so uncomfortable at this point. Someone please tell me I'm not the only one!

Re: Rec your pregnancy pillows!

  • I have the boppy one, but I don't love it.  It got flat really quick.  I am more comfortable with a pillow under my head and a king sized pillow to place my leg on.  My hips bother me though, not my back.  So I am not sure what will help your back more.

I think I ordered before I was even 12 weeks because my hips were killing me when I slept on my side - they haven't hurt since!  I like this one because I don't have to flip the whole pillow when I roll over.  I do find myself waking up on my back a lot, but I'm not too worried about that since I just turn back on my side if I wake up.  It is a pretty big pillow so if you don't have a king size bed it might be a little tight for your DH.  It also says it can be used as a nursing pillow which is a nice feature.

This pillow looks awesome but in a queen bed my DH would kill me!

The Snoogle is my friend. I've had it since like 13 weeks. It has helped me to stay on my side and it helps my hips feel better. The bummer is that it has started to flatten in spots. :(

  • I have the Snoogle and I love it.  But honestly, I don't think anything could help me get completely comfortable right now.  I still toss and turn, but it is really nice to snuggle up against and to have to help support my belly when I sleep on my side.  I'm also a belly sleeper, so the Snoogle helps me kinda sleep on my belly/side, if that makes sense.

  • I bought a snoogle during my first pregnancy, and it really helped my back, but it is a bit cumbersome to flip over in.

Ooooo, now how to convince DH he needs to start sleeping on the floor to make room for the pillow....  hehe

This is what I was just wondering.  How big is your bed and where does DH sleep?  If I showed up in bed with this my H would crack up but it does look comfy.

I'm not sure DH would be laughing. He'd probably try to steal it though!
