After watching so many 16&pregnants, I've decided I always want a c-section so my babies don't come out as cone heads!
I mean, she's 20, and an incredibly immature 20, but still...and people are AGREEING that c/s are the way to go because its "easier" "your epidural is guaranteed to work"... even ones who have kids!!
That's so stupid! What I wouldn't give to have given birth vaginally. If I had, I wouldn't even hesitate going through a third pregnancy and delivery, but since my last c-section recovery was hell, it looks like I'll just stick to having two kids. Having a c-section is by no means the best way to deliver a baby, and so what if your baby has a conehead?? It's not like it stays that way. Ugh!
I'm not trying to defend her, but I will say when I was pregnant with my first I actually asked my doctor if I could have a c-section. He of course told me no way. My husband was deployed and I was really scared of giving birth and something going wrong. I know its crazy, and I am blaming it part on my hormones. Just saying maybe she is really scared. Thank goodness my doctor told me there was no way he would do a c-section unless it was medically needed and I had a very easy birth. I feel like maybe I had watched too much tv and seen too many horror stories. I was more scared of something happening to the baby than me being in pain.

At least your reason for wanting a csection wasn't because you didn't want your child to have a cone head in the pictures.

IMHO the PAIN of labor was scary and hard but rolling into a near-emergency c-section with them pushing the epidural so hard I shook uncontrollably was the SCARIEST thing I have ever experienced. Not to mention how Isaac had trouble clearing his lungs following my c-section with him and was in NICU for 6 days and it was 12 hours before I could even visit him. C-sections are no joke so lets home she doesn't find that out the hard way.
Re: SMH
Let her get a load of that post-surgical pain and two weeks stuck at home driving restrictions.
The non-conehead thing is nice, though. But the cone goes away and its not worth the surgery.

Celebrities are really bad about this. And they have the c-sections early so they don't get too large and then have "some work" done after.
I can show her a picture of my awesome scar.
Maybe she'll change her mind.
I've had a vaginal birth and a c-section.
