Follow up to last night's post...

My DH talked to an Air Force recruiter today and they've met their goal of people to go to Officer Training School for 2011.  They told him to check back in October. I think that'll give us plenty of time to decide if this is what we really want do. It'll also give him time to job search for a better paying full time job.  I'm thoroughly enjoying the SAHM gig but I'm willing to go back to work if we need it.  Thanks again for your advice last night.

I think my only 'life' regret is not going into officer training for the Air Force...now i'm too old

The web site says they can go into OTS up to age 35.  I'm not sure of your age.

NO WAY!  When DH and I looked into it a few years ago it was 26!

ETA: I'm going to have to check into that.  We are both 31, so who knows!

I'm glad you'll have that time to really think about it without having the pressure of doing it rightnow.  The military is great in so many ways, but there are a lot of things to take into consideration.  Good luck, I'm glad we could help!

NO WAY!  When DH and I looked into it a few years ago it was 26!

On the air force dot com website, under officer training school it says 35 so maybe you could still do it.

I am glad too, to have more time to really think it through and see what happens in the meantime.
