Or a "white slip" as they would like to put it, to make us all feel better. The city that he works for may lay off up to 278 officers, and giving them all slips to to cover their a$$ if they need to cut that many! Hes number 230.... and if he does get let go, he will be hired back at a lower pay scale less then 4 months later. I know not the worst case.... but still not fun!

So any extra job saving vibes would be great! We are trying to not stress to much because we have actually been expecting it for a while and have gotten most of the financial stuff in order. I was just hoping that the pink slip fairy would just skip him

So sorry...this happened to my DH last year, he works for a school system and they gave pink slips to all non-tenured staff...fortunately he was hired back but it took a couple months! It was super stressful...I hope everything works out for you guys.

Sending you job saving vibes!! I had the same thing happen to me a few years ago. I'm finally almost back up to my original pay, before they cut me down. It sucks to work so hard just to get it taken away, and then have to do it all over again. But, it is better than not having a job at all
