I just found out the results of my 3 hour glucose test. I scored a 97 instead of a 95 or below on my fasting numbers. My 1,2,and 3 hour tests were all within normal range. Even though I passed the test, my doctor is having me come back to repeat the fasting portion of the test. Does anyone have advice on keeping fasting levels in check? Has anyone else had a similar experience?
Make sure you eat something before bed, I tried to "trick" my GD and my numbers were super high because your body will compensate if you don't eat by making your sugar spike. For me it is either Peanut butter on wheat before bed, but a lot of ladies swear by ice cream ( that does work for me too, but in case, it doesn't for you I would be scared to try it.) Or you could try walking before bed.
Good luck, fasting numbers are really out of your control, unfortunately.
