How often are your appointments these days?

Am I the only one whose dr/mw doesn't see them weekly until week 39? I go every 4 wks up to week 38 and then, finally, my mw sees me every week.

In the beginning I though this would be great (less hassle, right?). But now it's driving me crazy! I have so many questions and I feel like so much changes in 4 weeks at this point in the pregnancy. My next appt isn't until June 10th and that feels like a lifetime from now. I was definitely seen more often in the 3rd tri with DS (but that was a different dr. under different insurance).

Just wondering what "the norm" is out there. How often do you ladies see your dr./mw in the 3rd tri? Would you be annoyed at such infrequent appointments?

I see my MW every week now BUT in the beginning of the 3rd tri when appts were supposed to be every 2 weeks, she told me I could come every 3 if I want - so I did. I probably could talk her out of my coming every week now as well, but it doesn't really bother me to go in.

I've been seeing my doctor every week since 33 weeks due to high blood pressure, and ever since they found a trace of protein in my urine Ive been seeing a high risk doctor twice a week as well.

I was every 4 weeks until 28 weeks, then every 2 weeks until 32 weeks, then every week until 40 weeks, then twice a week.

I think I probably could have stuck with every 4 weeks though for a lot longer because really, nothing ever changes.

I have been to at least 1 appt a week this entire pregnancy, except for a small stretch when it was every other week.  Right now, between my high-risk OB and reg OB, I have 3 appts a week until LO arrives.  Needless to say, we are being monitored very closely.

I had been going every two weeks for awhile, but at my last visit (35wks) they said I would now be seen weekly.

Ditto.  I like that I'm now starting to go every week.  I think I'm going to enjoy the more frequent progress check especially since I've been having a lot of cramping and insane swelling.

I was once a month until 32 weeks and then every two weeks from 32-36. Now I go twice a week from here on out. I have a NST done at one appt. and the other I have an U/S with AFI then a NST and then I see the doc.

I think we went to every 2 weeks around 28. Then after the 36 visit it's been weekly.

 I'd be a little annoyed because I see the escalating appts as a sign I'm getting closer. But frankly, I could still be going monthly as unexciting as my visits have been (thankfully!) I am a little surprised that they do monthly all pregnancy... I would think they'd want to have a record of your BP and urine more, as those can turn abnormal the further along you get.

I'm having 2 BPP's a week.  I have GD, but they weren't happy with LO's movements last Tues.  He's moving fine, but they want to see me just in case.  I think if you & baby are doing fine, there's no reason to be seen every week.

I have been going every two weeks in the third tri, every week since 36 weeks and now I'm up to twice a week.  Honestly, I would have loved to go less because having to go to the dr. so often was my largest annoyance with this whole pregnancy thing.  It's just such a waste of my time (I had a completely normal, no issues at all pregnancy) and my largest pet peeve in this world is inefficient uses of time.

I think I may have felt differently if the Dr.s office was super quick but they weren't, each appt though the actual stuff took less than 20 min would take anywhere from an hour to two just because of waiting and having to drive there and back.  Just such a huge PITA.

I started having weekly appointments at 36 weeks. I don't think weekly appointments have been necessary for me, personally, because I have been feeling well and my body and the baby have both been tolerating the pregnancy well.
