Wow.. I am creating posts like crazy today..
So, summer has made its appearance with a vengeance here is NE Indiana.. Just last week the high was only 60*.. today.. 90*!
What are you ladies wearing to stay cool this summer? I typically wearing jeans year around.. but that will not fly this year! Where are you finding cute shorts/capris/skirts? Motherhood was a complete fail last time I was there.
TIA!
Re: Maternity Pant and Dress Alternatives *Recommendations needed
I'm in Florida, so we've been dealing with this for a while..
i got one pair of nice shorts at pea on the pod
https://www.apeainthepod.com/Product.asp?product_Id=139520033&MasterCategory_Id=MC4
I had a coupon, but honestly, I wear them all the time, so I think they are worth it
I also rock the cotton non-maternity fold over skirt from Old Navy

I found a couple pairs of Maternity capri's at Ross for really cheap and i wear sundresses (non maternity) a lot.
Good luck, and stay cool
That skirt looks awesome! I might have to run over to Old Navy today..
I have a couple hand-me-down dresses like this that I'm loving right now
https://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=48687&vid=1&pid=818396&scid=818396022
I also have a skirt like this (non-maternity) that is comfy
https://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=55402&vid=1&pid=809741&scid=809741062
and I've been wearing maxi dresses or gauchos at home.

I ordered 6 or 7 dresses from Target. Our Target stores have limited choices, but there are a ton online. Most are $30 or less. Dresses have been my go to for work.

For the weekends, I got shorts from Old Navy. I have 2 pair of kacki and 1 pair of jeans. I don't see them on the Old Navy website now though.
I also bought a pair or non-maternity shorts from Old Navy in a size larger than I normally wear that have an elastic/tie waist and wear them below the bump.

I have found that I don't really care for the full panel/secret fit belly pants/shorts as hot as it is.
ETA: For Target, I was able to return things in the store even if I bought them online. Most of the Old Navy and Gap stuff could not be returned to the store and had to be shipped back. Motherhood/Pea in the Pod will also accept returns in the store.
This. I LIVE in this skirt. It is soooo comfy and will work even when I'm not pregnant.
Same. It's amazing, and I can get away with wearing it to work. I'm not usually a big shorts/skirt person though, so I bought a few pairs of capris to wear out in public. Usually I'm in sweats at home that are either capris or I roll them up to shorts.
ETA: capris from pea in the pod and gap -- cost a small fortune, but worth it
Similar to PP, I have an Old Navy fold over skirt, but mine is maternity. It's not this exact one, because it was called asymmetrical, but basically the same otherwise:

Also, I know you said you didn't like Motherhood, but I really liked these:

You can wear them as pants or capris.

can't even THINK about squeezing all my swolleness into shorts, so i have been wearing the "gaucho" capris from Old Navy and maternity dresses from Old Navy, Target, & Kohls.
