DH got laid off on Friday

He is a teacher (without tenure) and with constant budget cuts we always knew it was a possibility but it's still hard.

If he can't find a job for next year (which is likely given the state-wide budget problems) he can still sub.  He would make about 1/2 the money but we could get by.

We've had the same problem two years in a row now.  The expense of applying to other school districts is ridiculous!  We just sent out applications to over 30 districts and we're working on a second round now.  I hope it all works out for you guys!

Is he certified in Math or Science for high school grades? 

We need a ton of them in my district (and by ton I mean at least 5).  

Oh, or is he SpEd certified?  I know for a fact that my principal is hiring 6 SpEd teachers for the fall!
