baby nightmares?

sometimes I wonder of they had a bad dream or something. Nick will be snoring away, in my arms or in the swing and just wake up SCREAMING. The other night, I was holding him and he was making little sounds and then his body jerked once and he woke up crying and I couldn't calm him down.

I always wonder what a newborn could possibly be having a nightmare about? A giant boob in the face? A giant poop? Reliving going through the birth canal?

Someone should do a study.

LOL, I'm convinced that TLF has them I wonder if he's dreaming about having his feeding tube being shoved up his nose again or my hair dryer (he sobs if he can see me drying my hair, but if he's in the same spot but turned around, he's fine).

Maybe. I sometimes wonder if they are having flashbacks from being in the NICU.

Maybe they are dreaming they are left alone. Or dropped. I get those dreams where I feel like I'm going to fall out of the sky, so maybe they do too? They spend most of their days up in the air...
