I was trying to use photobucket and I usually resize there before I copy the code. I forgot to do that before I changed my siggy so the picture was too big. I went back and resized it and kept copying and pasting the new code and it wouldn't change the picture size so I just went to tinypic and used that code instead.
ETA: There's probably an easier way to re-size in the siggy code area but I don't know what it is.

in the siggy code, you just add: width=xxx to your <img> tag and then adjust the xxx value until it's a size that you like.
example:
<img src="https://yoururl.com/mypic.jpg" width=150 />
