My dog is having surgery today

Bax has been having issues with elevated liver enzymes. He was supposed to have a liver biopsy last week but the vet took x-rays first and saw what the problem was. He has PPDH, which LSS, he has a congenital hernia and his liver is twisted into it, and possibly part of his small intestines. The vet said it's risky, but it's even riskier not to fix it, so it's happening today. Poor little guy. I'm a nervous wreck.

Bax is out of surgery. The vet said it couldn't have gone better. They did a biopsy to make sure there aren't any other issues, but the vet thinks this fixed everything. His liver and his intestines were both twisted into this hernia.

He should be home tomorrow evening as long as he continues to do well. I can't wait. I miss him already.
