I posted in D&R's post below but wanted to make sure that everyone saw.  I did receive a gift from the Parenting girls.  I don't recall the exact amount off the top of my head (I'm at my parents or I would look - it was over $500) but it was extremely generous. 

Thank you all again for thinking of Kate and I.  All the warm thoughts and prayers from everyone have really helped Kate and I.  It's nice to not feel alone. 

We took the gift cards and had a kick ass time in Disney World. 
For those that contributed, please know that it was received, and loved.  Your good deed did reach the intended people. 

It sounds like there is a lot more to the drama than I can possibly get caught up.  I truly believe that there are many, MANY wonderful women on this board that are here for the right reasons.  Even with all the nonsense that happens here sometimes, I still wish I could be here more.

I mainly lurk, but I just want to say, I discovered your blog through the Nest and you are such an inspiration! I'm so sorry for what you've been through, but you write beautifully about the life you are making for yourself and your daughter after the loss of your husband. Reading your blog has really reminded me to be mindful of what matters in life. You are such a strong woman and such a gift to your daughter! Wishing you both only the best!

D&R - no worries.  I would have been thinking the same thing. 

Mrs.Tony- I just wanted to make sure that those that donated didn't worry.  I never felt like I "had' to defend myself.  Just wanted to offer reassurance.
