FT working moms, how do you do it?

I work PT- about 20-25 hours a week, but the last month they back loaded my schedule and I picked up a shift for someone with a scheduling conflict so I've been working 40-50 hours a week the last two weeks. I am exhausted and worn out. Part of the problem is that half my shifts have been night shifts, so I am sleep deprived too. But I miss my boys so much, and then when I am with them I feel like I'm too tired to give them the attention they deserve.  I don't know how you guys do it all the time.

  • I miss my kids so so so so much, but I have to work.  You just get used to it I guess.  I don't know how you could do night shifts and survive.  That would totally exhaust me too.  I would MUCH rather SAH, but I have to say that I think that being a SAHM is even harder! I respect them so much!

I agree with you! I think SAHM's are saints. If i had to stay home with my babies every day i'd go crazy. I'd love to work p/t but i can't afford it. I do miss them but it makes the 2hrs we have together at night and the weekends more special. Sleep deprevation is hard at times of course but if i had that and had to stay home with them i think i'd lose it. :)

    Ditto!

After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!
