Hey ladies!
I was hoping some of you lovely multiple mommas can answer a few questions for me since most of you have several little ones in car seats.
We are getting a used windstar from my grandpa soon and I have 2 in carseats but soon will have 3 in carseats. My 5 year old is in a forward facing harness seat, my 11 month old is in a graco 35 bucket seat and when the new one comes we will likely have another graco bucket seat or move the 11 month old to a rear-facing convertible.
I am wondering how you ladies configure the seating for 3 in your van and if 3 will fit across the back bench seat? The van has captain's chairs in the middle row so I was thinking maybe removing one and putting the 3 in the very back?
I appreciate any insight you ladies can offer. Thanks!
Re: Anyone with 3 or more and a ford windstar able to answer questions?
i would not put anyone rear facing in the back seat- it's very hard to reach them, etc.
i would put the two rear facing in the middle captains chairs and the forward facing in the back --- that is how we have it -and love it- b/c they can all see each other- it's like a party back there for them- and it helps that my oldest can tell me if the babies are sleeping, what they are doing, etc.
once we turn the twins around (next month when they turn 2) we'll put all 3 in the back row forward facing- but until then i would not want anyone rear facing in the back.
Thanks ladies!
I suppose it wouldn't be as bad putting them in the back when in the infant buckets with the snap in bases, and I know you do what you have to but I don't think I would want to put them in through the back if I can avoid it.
