Dp you ever feel like other people freak out and don't know how to handle or act around you and your baby when they are feeling bad? I have noticed that my in laws especially get upset when ds has one of his bouts with colic in the evening. My mil will immediately hand ds over to me after only holding him a few moments. I get that she might not know how to handle the situation and think that I know all the answers and can fix him. My mil is wonderful but this can be hurtful to me sometimes. Especially tonight when all of us were sitting around outside and she basically told me to take him inside and feed him so the rest of them could talk and hear each other. I might be just over sensitive and this post may be flame worthy but I guess I just needed to vent and see if there might be others going through the same thing. Thanks for listening!

    i think i'd rather that!!

    LO will be screaming and MIL will keep holding her in cradle position which I know LO hates!!

     I want to yell "give her to me!!!!!!!! "

    Don't have a colic baby.. Just one today that hadn't taken more than  15 minute nap since 2 and finally let me put her down at 9... I'm exhausted today, she didn't sleep good last night. I have a feeling that if tomorrow is anything like today, I will be pulling my hair out. We are going to a cook out with DH's side of the family for the majority of the day.

    my MIL was the same was with DS#1... whenever he cried she handed him back to me.

    I totally get you being upset about her telling you to go inside.... ::hugs::
