non-C ladies, how can I avoid this look next time?

after pushing out a baby?  Specifically, I'm talking about the hair part.  I have long, thick blond hair.  Any suggestions as to what to do with my hair during labor so I can get a decent pic or two after baby is born?  Seriously, I can't even look at the ones from DD...

I'm a c/s lady so I have no advice.  I'm getting my hair and makeup done pre-surgery next time.  I looked like ass last time.

Yeah I'm thinking a very high very tight ponytail that is braided might be the best I can do. 

I think my hair started in a ponytail last time too but by the end...

I put mine in two braids ala Laura Ingles Wilder.  It looked like I was 12 during the labor and delivery but after she was born I pulled out the rubberbands and had beautiful waves.  Ok, I still looked like I just pushed out a baby, but I felt a little better.

I had the slicked back with sweat ponytail look going on.  Suppa hot. Hotter than GB however.

I don't really think there is a way.  Not only did my hair look awful but my face is all swollen from pushing a crying and there is no helping that!

you can make a ponytail and pin the top so it doesn't get all out of place.  I had the same problem with G.

Glad to see I am not the only one who was/is concerned about this...after seeing pictures of me after Ava I was scared!

 

With Ella I put it in a high ponytail (cheerleader style) and then used one of the thick headband things as well. It was much better!!

I vote for Pin's head wrap suggestion, along with a brush and make up bag on the bedside table.  I certainly wish I had thought of that when i had dd.  I won't show those pictures to small children...they would be frightened.

I also like the headscarf though.  I wonder if that'd work.

Thanks ladies...all great suggestions.  I know this isn't that big a deal but I just wish I didn't hate all pics of myself w/DD right after she was born.

HA.  I would show you my pics from w/ Jackson, but you'd probably die of the ugliness.  Granted, I was in labor for 30+ hours, so that had something to do with it.

I look like a truck hit me and then backed up and hit me again.

Whatever it is, it can't beat mine, My mom, who has never made a ponytail for me in her life, picked my hair up for me, with her scrunchy, OH MY GAWD.
