We have the Angelcare movement monitor (movement and audio, no video). It was more important for us to be able to hear our baby and have an alarm if something was wrong (that would wake us up) than it was to see the baby while we were awake.
We have this one. I didn't want a video monitor because I knew I would just spend all night looking at it. We have an older house where the temp from one end to the other can vary greatly, so I really wanted one that had a temperature display.
I bought a Summer video monitor and I love it! Then after B got here I found out about the Angelcare monitors. I use both. I like being able to look at B when he is moving around at night. If I can see his eyes are closed I won't go in there. The Angelcare helps me sleep at night knowing that if he was to stop breathing the alarm would sound. I like using both for me. All this being said I could just use the Angelcare system alone if I had not bought the video monitor. It's too late to return the video monitor but I love them both!
We have the Angelcare movement and sound monitor and love it. It is so reassuring to know that if he stops breathing the alarm will go off. I didn't see a need for the video monitor so I can't help you out there.
We?ve chosen the ?HOME SENTRY II by SAFE BABY?. Our system was installed as we were building our new house with an 8 camera system. This makes it possible to monitor each bedroom (4), living room, kitchen, den and office/sewing/sitting room. Our system was less than $800 installed; but, you can also purchase other systems starting at about $50 - here?s the link:

same for us

We had the Sony Babycall monitor with K but honestly didn't use it much because our house is so small that I could hear hear cry from across the house.
But, this time around I'm hoping to get an Angelcare sound and movement monitor just for peace of mind.

We have the Summer Infant Best View Video Monitor. It's pretty awesome with the zoom and brightness settings.

I was very impressed-happy with our choice - we?ll put another one in our new house when we either rebuild here or wherever!
